It’s the stuff of animal fiction - a leopard and a crocodile going tooth to tooth, claw to claw.  Speed and cunning meets power and armor in a battle to the death.  Who won?  Find out after the jump.

In the meantime, let’s discuss the fact that this brings up a sad part of human nature.  We as a race love to watch other animals, especially powerful ones, fight each other.  Whether it’s Michael Vick and the pit bull battles, cock fights, or any of the lesser known beast vs. beast atrocities that have been popular for centuries among the “civilized” race known as human.

The fact that this one was not (necessarily) staged still brings questions of morality to mind.  Why would I have been so interested in it to click on it?  Why are you reading about it, looking at the pictures, wondering what the outcome was.  In a way, I’m ashamed at myself for reading the original article (which is definitely not the article’s fault, as it was excellent!).
