First a Gas Guzzler, Reborn As An EV: The GMC Hummer EV

The Future is the GMC Hummer EV

Hummer is a well-known name in the automotive industry and just about anybody who drives can point out a Hummer driving alongside them on the highway. This vehicle weighed up to 5,000 pounds, had up to 300 horsepower, and got between 14-18/MPG. Nowadays, that is considered terrible gas mileage, but that was simply the reality of owning a Hummer back then. Hummer owners knew their vehicles were not nearly as fuel-efficient as others, but they didn’t mind paying a little more for their fuel.

The New GMC Hummer EV

Slightly larger than the H3T and weighing up to 9,000 pounds, the GMC Hummer is a massive inclusion to the list of electric vehicles on the market. The new GMC Hummer EV has a sleek trim but has retained its classic Hummer design. But that’s not all.

The new Hummer has 1,000 horsepower, making it an absolute beast on the road or wherever you wish to go. It is fully electric, which means there is no true miles-per-gallon, but statisticians have said that the Hummer EV will get an equivalent of 33.7/MPG, doubling the capacity of the H3T!

The New Hummer EV comes with a long list of new and improved features, too many to touch on each in this article. One remarkable feature this vehicle has is its Crabwalk capability, which, essentially, allows the vehicle to drive diagonally.
