Fort McAllister State Park is located along the coast of the Ogeechee River and is a place where you can learn a lot about the attacks on Savannah during the Civil War. Admire the natural beauty of the park and learn about the soldiers that were once stationed at this fort where you can still see cannons, barracks, a hot shot furnace, and the palisades.
