Top Ten NFL Teams Heading into Week 10

Heading into Week 10 of the NFL season, some teams have separated themselves from the rest and lead the way.

This year, we have a bit of a different scenario with 14 teams making the playoffs for the first time ever. The NFL has stated there might be 16 teams in the playoffs if COVID-19 cancelations take place, but so far, that hasn’t been an issue.

Looking at the Ten Best Teams

After nine weeks of football, here are the ten teams at the top of the NFL:

Pittsburgh Steelers

As the only remaining unbeaten team in the league, the Steelers are quacking creating a massive separation from the rest of the teams. Powered by a strong offense with excellent players at all skill positions and a strong and punishing defense, the Steelers seemed poised for a strong run at the Super Bowl. This the only team the 1972 Miami Dolphins are watching as they wait for a loss.

Kansas City Chiefs

Powered by incredible coaching and one of the most potent offenses in the league, the Chiefs are looking for a repeat of last year with another Super Bowl Win. Currently, their record is 8-1 with a loss to the Las Vegas Raiders as their only blemish. While not quite as dominant each week as last year, the Chiefs are certainly in command of their own destiny.

Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens come in third on the list with a 6-2 record. The Ravens have found ways to win along the way, even though they don’t seem to be scoring in the same way they did last year. Riding an incredible defense and one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in NFL history, the Ravens could come out of the AFC and make it to the Super Bowl this year.

New Orleans Saints

Leading the NFC is the New Orleans Saints. This team has been tearing up the league with a dynamic offense and an impressive defense. They limped along for a few weeks with some of their playmakers out, but all seem to be back and healthy. Right now, the 6-2 record of the Saints, put them in the driver’s seat in the NFC which could earn them a bye week entering the playoffs.

Buffalo Bills

You might not look at the Bills as a top ten team, but you should. Currently, the Bills are 7-2 and in sold control of the AFC East. This team still has a lot of work to do with a defense that doesn’t always show up and a quarterback that lacks accuracy at times, but they seem to find ways to win games and are poised for a deep run in the playoffs.

Green Bay Packers

Solid quarterback play has carried the Packers to a strong 6-2 record. Unfortunately, when the defense is on the field, this team leaves a lot to be desired. If the Packers can shore up the defense and get a couple more offensive weapons back, they could win a few playoff games. If not, they are likely to be bounced out of the postseason tournament early.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

At one time, the Buccaneers were the conference favorites, but they have limped through nine weeks with a 6-3 record. Their defense can crush other teams and when the offense is playing well, this team is hard to beat. The simple question when the playoffs come around will be which version of the Buccaneers will show up and play the game. For their sake, hopefully, it will be the team that can beat nearly every other team.

Seattle Seahawks

One side of this team is all that’s needed for the Seahawks to have a 6-2 record at the halfway point of the season. Seattle doesn’t have a defense that scares anyone, but the offense is capable of big plays on every down. If the Seahawks want to make it out of the first weekend of the playoffs and make a run at the Super Bowl, the defense is going to need to step up and help the offense.

Tennessee Titans

When it comes to tough teams, the Titans take the cake. Any team on the other side of the ball needs to bring two chin straps to play the Titans who currently hold a 6-2 record. Likely the AFC South representatives in the playoffs, this team is poised to handle business on the field and create a slobber-knocker of a game when it’s playoff time.

Las Vegas Raiders

Love them or hate them, the Raiders carry a 5-3 record into Week 10 which puts them in the tenth spot on this list. The Raiders are likely to make it to the playoffs and could cause other teams a lot of trouble. This team does a great job of getting ready for the toughest games but is prone to mental errors, which could be a serious problem come playoff time.
